GUNNISON, Colo.  Western Colorado soccer will finish off the non-conference portion of its schedule Friday and Sunday, hosting Cal State San Bernardino (CSSB) and Nebraska-Kearney at Katy O. Rady Field.

WESTERN COLORADO HEADING ITO THE WEEKEND | 2025 Stats
  • The Mountaineers are 0-5 overall and are coming off a week that saw them play three games including back-to-back outings. They scored their first goals of the season during the three-game stretch, ringing up a cumulative total of five goals.
  • Natsuki Murakami leads the attack with two goals, both coming in a 5-3 loss to Texas at Dallas.
  • Caitlin Mazurek, Madilyn Reser and Cianna Thomas each scored once during last week's busy slate.
  • Four different goalkeepers have seen action for Western during its season-opening non-conference schedule. Ashlyn Fitzpatrick has accumulated the most minutes between the pipes, 225 minutes, while coming up with 15 saves over three games in goal.
  • Fitzpatrick has also seen the most shots, 46, directed at the Western frame.

  • The Coyotes bring a 1-2-1 record to Rady Field on Friday. Their lone victory was a 1-0 upset of 25th-ranked Concordia University Irvine in their second game of the season.
  • Three different players have each scored one goal for the Coyotes. Bella Cervantes knocked home the game winner in the victory over Irvine. She led the team last season with seven goals, five of which were game winners.
  • Emilee Perez, who scored two goals last season, and Angelyn Pena are the other goal scorers.
  • Ryann Munoz has seen the most action in goal for CSSB, getting three starts for a total of 270 minutes. She brings a 1.00 goals against average and 0.824 save percentage into Friday's game against the Mountaineers.
NEBRASKA-KEARNEY HEADING INTO THE GAME | 2025 Stats
  • The Lopers will enter their match with the Mountaineers with a 1-3 record, that lone victory coming in a 1-0 win over Black Hills State, one of Western's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes.
  • The winning goal in that victory was scored by Anna Thorhallsdottier, a junior who registered her first career goal in the win.
  • Kearney has only scored that one goal this season, but it is outshooting its opponents by a cumulative 42-36 margin.
  • Susie Bovaird has gotten the start in goal three times, accumulating 200 minutes between the pipes, while Madelyn Schaffert has one start and 160 minutes of game action. Both have surrendered two goals each, while Bovaird has a 0.857 save percentage and Schaffert's is 0.667.
