Colorado Springs, Colo.,   The Western Colorado Women's Basketball team drops second straight road game to Colorado Christian by a score of 58-37 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Two minutes into the game the Cougars secured the first bucket 2-0. WCU was unable to connect with the basket resulting in a CCU 10-0 with four minutes remaining in the first.
- Freshman Jacy Chandler put the Mountaineers on the board with a shot behind the arch 10-3. Moments later, the Cougars earned a trip to the charity stripe 12-3. Sophomore Alyssa Eckroth responded with a jumper in the paint 12-5.
- The first three minutes of the second quarter were scoreless until Senior Rachel Cockman completed a three-point play 12-8. WCU forced CCU into a quick shot, which was missed, putting the ball in the hands of graduate Jayde Tschritter for two 12-10.
- Sophomore Jayda Maves and Cockman gave the Mountaineers their first lead of the game 14-12. CCU went on a seven-point run to elevate their score 19-14. Junior Chloe Daniels and Eckroth added a few scores, but the Cougars went into halftime up 24-16.
- Senior Brooklyn Seymour hit a free throw two minutes into the third. CCU jumped to a 30-17 edge. Eckroth and sophomore Ivey Schmidt earned spots at the line 30-19. The Cougars took over, offensively, ending the third quarter with a 39-24 advantage.
- Maves traded three with CCU at the beginning of the final quarter 42-27. After multiple shot attempts, Cockman hit a jumper, Schmidt collected a three and Seymour sunk a jumper 42-34.
- The Cougar offense went on another scoring run 52-35. Cockman put away a layup 52-37 but CCU would score the final points of the contest to defeat WCU 58-37.

- Cockman led the offense with 9 points. Maves recorded 8, Schmidt had 5 and Tschritter and Eckroth put up 4.
- Schmidt ended with 3 assists and 3 steals.
- Tschritter led on the boards with 9, followed by Seymour with 7 then Eckroth with 6.
- WCU shot 22.2% from the field, 11.8% from three and 60.0% from the charity stripe.
