GUNNISON, Colo. Â Mountaineer wrestling rolled to a dominating 47-3 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over visiting New Mexico Highlands on Saturday night, earning bonus point wins in five matches.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Roberto Estrada dominated Naythan Galbiso in the night's opening match at 125 pounds. Estrada earned an early takedown then registered three 4-point near falls to win by technical fall in just 2 minutes, 3 seconds.Â
- Devin Gomez posted a second-period pin at 133 to keep the momentum rolling, followed by an exciting 6-4 decision by Eyan Chavez at 141.Â
- Mar-Trece Smith led Chavez 4-2 late in the third but surrendered a point on a second stall call. Chavez rallied with a takedown in the final seconds of the third period to complete the comeback and push Western's lead to 14-0.Â
- Dean Noble earned a second-period fall at 149 to raise the advantage to 20-0, with Vincent Cabral scoring an 8-2 decision at 157 to further increase the lead to 23 points.Â
- The Cowboys finally got on the scoreboard at 165 with a taut 2-1 decision by Ivan Smith Jr., only to have Cole Hernandez at 187 and Hunter Richardson at 184 score second-period pins for Western in response.Â
- Highlands forfeited both the 197 and 285 bouts, granting the Mountaineers' Sage Harrison and Riley Butt forfeit victories, respectively.Â
