GUNNISON, Colo. In Western's annual Crimson & Slate Intrasquad wrestling match, the Slate extended its win streak to four years as it downed the Crimson, 25-21, Thursday evening in Paul Wright Gym.
Slate got off to a roaring start with falls at 125 and 133 pounds, but Crimson eventually fought back to within two, 17-15, at 165. A tech fall at 174 gave Slate back its cushion and a decision at 197 clinched the victory.
