GUNNISON, Colo.  Western Colorado will try to get their fourth win in the month of September on Sunday (Sep. 25) when they host rival Adams State at 1 p.m.
 
MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
  • Western is one game above .500 in the month of September, recording an overall record of 3-2-1. The Mountaineers are coming off a 2-0 shutout victory – their second shutout of the season – over CSU-Pueblo and will look to build on that when they take on Adams State.
  • Western and the Grizzlies have played a common opponent this season – Texas A&M International – and had an identical outcome that saw both teams coming away with a victory. Adams State did shutout the Dustdevils. But, both teams did score two goals against them.
  • So far this season seven different players – Taylor Bottoms, Kylie Hickox, Natasha Kasozi, Reece Mercer, Sarah Connolly, Desiree Trinidad-Gonzalez and Brenna Wolfe – have recorded one goal apiece. Bottoms, Hickox, Mercer, Kasozi and Kylee Smith are top in the assist category each having one assist each.
  • Aubree Orosco and Alex Peralta have both played in five games and both have four starts. Orosco has 23 saves (.767), while Peralta has 22 saves (.688).
GRIZZLIES HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
  • Adams State has struggled to win games this season, only having one victory (Texas A&M International, 2-0) so far this season. They will try to add to that win total as they play Colorado Christian (1-5) prior to playing the Mountaineers on Sunday (Sep. 25).
  • Carena Harrison, Karlee Caballero and Emily Chamberlain are the top goal scorers for the Grizzlies, each having one goal this season. In the assist category, Colette Tena is leading with two assists.
  • Goalkeeper, Ashlyn Bartley has played in all six games recording 26 saves (.667 save percentage)

Western Colorado will have their lone home night game on Friday (Sep. 30) taking on New Mexico Highlands at 7 p.m.
