  • After another layup by Lubbock Christian, Wagstaff knocked down another three-pointer. From there it was all about the Lady Chaps, who closed the first quarter out on a 5-0 run. Going into the second quarter the Mountaineers had a 12-11 lead.
  • Things were dead even in the second quarter as both teams scored 13-points each. Similar to the first quarter, Wagstaff was able to connect from beyond the arc knocking down a three-pointer, while also making two-free throws – increasing her scoring total to 11-points. Cockman also was a factor on offense in the quarter scoring four-points. At halftime, Western was up 25-24.
  • In the third quarter – 22 free throws would be taken - the Lady Chaps would be the first team to benefit from the calls.
  • Lubbock Christian was drawing fouls left and right to start the quarter, resulting in them getting eight attempts at the free throw line, seven of those attempts being made – giving Lubbock Christian a 33-25 lead, the other two-points coming on a layup.
  • With 3:08 left in the quarter, Brooklyn Seymour scored the first-point of the quarter for the Mountaineers sinking a free throw. Minutes later, Cockman had multiple attempts at the free throw line and would make all four attempts, cutting the Lady Chaps lead to 40-30. Before the quarter ended, Seymour would sink a free throw of her own.
  • Scoring didn't come any easier for the Mountaineers in the fourth quarter – only making three field goals which equated to six-points. Cockman made two of those field goals and the other made field goal coming from Hayley Valencia. Valencia also made a free throw during the quarter.  Lubbock Christian went on to outscore Western 11-7 in the quarter, as they won the game 51-38.
