GOLDEN, Colo.  Western Colorado battled and did everything they could against No. 10 Colorado School of Mines. Yet, it wasn't enough as they loss 0-1 to the Orediggers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Mountaineers defense and goalkeeper Aubree Orosco held their own in the first half not allowing a single goal to be scored, despite the Orediggers taking 10 shots – five being on goal. Offensively for Western they were only able to get one shot off, which came 10:34 into the game and was blocked.
• In the second half the first and only goal of the game would be scored. Unfortunately, Colorado School of Mines was the one who scored said goal.  A few minutes into the second half (49:18) the Orediggers were able to slip the ball past Orosco for the game winning goal.

PITCH NOTES

• Western had six shots in the game, one being on goal. While Colorado School of Mines had 23 shots, with nine being on goal.
• Orosco did all she could in goal, racking up eight saves over the course of the game.
