DURANGO, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team fell to Fort Lewis 3-0 on Sunday at Dirks Field in the Mountaineers' RMAC opener.
Western Colorado (0-5 overall, 0-1 RMAC) fell behind 2-0 at the half after the Skyhawks (2-0-2, 1-0) scored in the 14th (Corinee Sanderson) and 18th minute (Katie Smith - assisted by Elizabeth David). Fort Lewis added another in the 53rd minute on an Ashley Strader goal.
The Mountaineers were outshot 19-8, including 12-4 in shots on goal.
Alex Mason led Western with two shots taken while six players took one shot apiece.
Kaeyla Noble picked up nine saves at keeper for the Mountaineers.
The final four games of Western's regular season schedule will be played at home starting 3 p.m. Thursday against Colorado Christian.
