DENVER --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team falls to the Roadrunners of MSU Denver 1-0 on Friday afternoon, as they played on the road at The Assembly Athletic Complex.

The Roadrunners took an early lead as Paloma Teran of MSU Denver scored the only goal of the match at 7:51 into the game. The Mountaineers attempted to tie it up throughout the match as they took three shots, placing two of them on target. Â

MSU Denver took 22 shots on goal, with ten of them being on target.

Laura Pelino and
Jessie Jacobsen led the Mountaineers each with one shot on target as
Casey Ober took the other shot for Western Colorado that was off target.

Kaeyla Noble played goalkeeper all 90 minutes for Western Colorado as she faced 22 shots, with eight saves and only allowed one ball into the back of the net.

The Mountaineers return to action on Sunday as they travel to Black Hills State to take on the Yellow Jackets in Spearfish, S.D. at 11 a.m.
