Reilly hired as Western's Athletics Operations and Facilities Coordinator

GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Jackie Reilly as its Athletics Operations and Facilities Coordinator.

Reilly comes to Western from Texas A&M University where she served as one of the athletic department's facilities, events and construction assistants. She assisted with all services related to the management of multiple athletic facilities and the event management of 18 Division-I sports – including overseeing 27 student employees.

"We're excited to have Jackie joining our Western Colorado Athletics team," Western Director of Athletics Miles Van Hee said. "As we continue to elevate our Mountaineer athletic programs, we needed someone with a strong eye for detail, a drive to ensure our facilities are well taken care of and to continue to improve our game day and special event experiences for everyone. Jackie fits that role perfectly."

Reilly's first day at Western will be Dec. 28.

Prior to Texas A&M, Reilly worked at her alma mater Illinois College where she served in athletic events and facilities, worked as an event assistant intern and was the director of football operations. Reilly also was a part of the Midwest Conference Female and Ethnic Minority Mentoring Program.

"I'd like to thank Western Director of Athletics Miles Van Hee, the hiring committee and the administration at Western Colorado for giving me this opportunity," Reilly said. "I'm looking forward to being a part of the Mountaineer family and the Gunnison community. It's a great chance for me to learn and grow while bringing my experiences at the Division-I and Division-III levels to continue to elevate the student-athlete and spectator experience at Western."

Reilly was also a stand-out softball player at Illinois College where she was a four-time First Team All-Midwest Conference selection, was named Second Team All-Great Lakes Region, helped the program to school records for wins twice and was part of the winningest class in Illinois College softball history.
