GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team begins RMAC play this week as the Mountaineers travel to take on 10th-ranked Colorado School of Mines on Friday before taking on Colorado Christian on the road on Sunday.

THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKÂ | 2019 SEASON STATS
Western heads into RMAC play after dropping a pair of games last weekend in Grand Junction, falling to Newman 3-0 on Friday and to Nebraska-Kearney 1-0 on Sunday.Â
In the loss to Nebraska-Kearney, the Mountaineers allowed a goal in the 29th minute but continued to push in the second half - including
Andrea Grillo putting an excellent shot on frame only to be thwarted by a diving save by the Lopers' keeper.
The Mountaineers have evenly split time with their goalkeepers in their four games with
Kaeyla Noble owning a 1.50 goals against average and 16 saves while
Grace Walker has 4.50 GAA and 11 saves. On the other saide,
Missa Webb has one goal to lead the team while her, Grillo and
Megan Wheelock have each taken a team-high four shots.

The Orediggers are coming off their first loss of the season Sunday as they fell on the road at Angelo State, two days after defeating St. Edward's in overtime 1-0 in Austin, Texas. Colorado School of Mines opened the season with wins at home against Choco State (2-1) and San Francisco State (2-0).
Emi Higgins leads the Orediggers early in the season in goals scored with two while Nicole LaTourette has one goal, one assist and a team-high 17 shots (seven on goal). At keeper, Shannon Mooney has a goals against average of 0.49 - allowing two goals in 367 minutes, 30 seconds. She has 17 saves and a save percentage of 0.895 on 35 shots face.

COLORADO CHRISTIAN HEADING INTO THIS WEEKÂ | 2019 SEASON STATS
After opening the season Sept. 5 with a 3-2 win at home over St. Mary's (Texas), the Cougars hit the road to Florida where they beat Florida Tech 1-0 on Sept. 11 in overtime, lost to Eckerd College 1-0 in overtime Friday and lost at Rollins College 4-0 on Sunday (CCU will take on Colorado Mesa on Friday before facing the Mountaineers).
Brook-lyn Schultz leads the team with two goals (both scored against St. Mary's) while Sarah Butler and Sarah Feller each have a goal. At keeper, Asheight Maguire has started all four games and has a goals against averge of 1.60 while Ireland VanDyke has played in three games (138 minutes) and has a 1.96 goals against average.
