GUNNISON, Colo. – Western Colorado University wrestling concludes the home dual season this weekend in Paul Wright Gym. The 14

th-ranked Mountaineers host 7
th/9
th-ranked Colorado State University – Pueblo on Friday night and Adams State University, receiving votes in the tournament rankings and ranked seventh in the dual rankings, on Saturday night. Both duals are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Friday's dual is also Community Night. The Gunnison Dusters will face Montrose youth wrestlers at 4 p.m. prior to the start of the college dual. Following the dual with CSU-Pueblo, Western wrestlers, along with the Duster wrestlers, will be signing schedule posters for fans.
Saturday's dual is Senior Night, Operation Red and Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. All Western faculty and staff will receive free admission to the dual and the first 500 fans through the gate will receive a free red t-shirt, courtesy of Western wrestling.
Brandon Supernaw and
Trenton Piatt will wrestle their final collegiate home duals and will be honored prior the start of Saturday night's dual with Adams State at 7 p.m. in Paul Wright Gym.
Supernaw, ranked first at 174 pounds, enters the weekend with a 14-0 record this season. Piatt has a 12-9 record in 2019 at 125 pounds.
Konnor Schmidt is Western's other ranked wrestler. Schmidt is now fifth at 184 pounds.
Western (11-4, 3-1 RMAC) is coming off a 50-0 win at home against New Mexico Highlands University last weekend. The Mountaineers are 4-0 in Paul Wright Gym this season and have won the last 10 in their home gymnasium.
CSU-Pueblo (10-4, 4-1 RMAC) is ranked seventh in the tournament rankings and ninth in the dual rankings this season. The Thunderwolves lost their last dual to 18
th-ranked University of Central Oklahoma, 12-29.
Western is 13-16-1 all-time against CSU-Pueblo. The Thunderwolves won last season's meeting 31-12, but the Mountaineers have won four of the last five.
CSU-Pueblo has four ranked wrestlers. D'andre Brumfield is ranked second at 125 pounds, Jasiah Williams is fifth at 149 pounds, Tarrence Williams is sixth at 184 pounds and Haszell West is fifth at 197 pounds.
Adams State () is receiving votes in the tournament rankings and is seventh in the dual rankings this season. The Grizzlies have won six straight duals, including a 21-19 win against Colorado Mesa University on the road.
Western is 46-35-1 all-time against Adams State and have won the last five duals.
Adams State's Darek Huff is the lone Grizzly currently ranked. Huff is fifth at 133 pounds.
