GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer dropped a 4-0 decision to Westminster on Friday night at Walker Field.
Â
The Mountaineers (3-12-1 overall, 3-9-1 RMAC) allowed two first-half goals to the Griffins (10-3-3, 7-3-2) within the first 28 minutes, but held tight for the next nearly 50 minutes before Westminster scored a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes.
Â
Andrea Grillo had WCU's top scoring chance as she let loose a rocket near the top of the penalty area high on target, but the Westminster keeper got just enough of the ball to push it to hit the crossbar.
