GUNNISON, Colo. – For the second consecutive season, Western State Colorado University women's soccer will be playing in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. For the second consecutive season, Western will face the Colorado School of Mines in the opening round.

Western (5-9-2, 4-7-1 RMAC) will face No. 18 CSM (14-2-1, 10-1-1 RMAC) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening in Golden, Colorado. The Halloween match is the first round of RMAC Tournament play and also the quarterfinals of the tournament as the top eight regular season teams make it into the postseason affair.

The Mountaineers enter as the seventh seed in the tournament after a 4-0 win last Saturday against New Mexico Highlands University, which catapulted the team past Fort Lewis College in the standings. Last season, the Mountaineers entered the conference tournament as the eighth seed.

The Orediggers, ranked 18
th in Division II, are the second seed and have won their last five matches. The average margin of victory in the past five matches has been 3.4 goals in favor of CSM. The Orediggers have been crowned champions of the last six RMAC Tournaments.

In the lone meeting this season between Western and Mines, the Orediggers pulled off a 1-0 win in overtime. Last year in the tournament, CSM defeated the Mountaineers 5-1. Western is 1-5 all-time against Mines and 0-4 on the road.

The winner of Tuesday's match will face the winner of the UC-Colorado Springs and Colorado Mesa University match in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 3.
