GUNNISON, Colo. – Coming off a second place finish at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday, Western State Colorado University resumes the dual season this weekend. The Mountaineers travel to Alamosa, Colorado for a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee showdown against rival Adams State University.

Western (6-3, 3-1 RMAC) is ranked 17
th in Division II as of the Jan. 28 rankings by D2Wrestle.com. The Mountaineers are coming off a tremendous all-around performance at the RMAC Championships. Western finished second, had two RMAC Champions and totaled 12 falls as a team in the tournament.

Western's two RMAC Champions were No. 6
Corbin Bennetts (Gr., Buena Vista, Colorado) at 141 pounds and
Austin Harris (Sr., Windsor, Colorado) at 174 pounds. Harris was named the Co-Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament and earned NCAA Division II Super Region IV Wrestler of the Week honors for his performance at the tournament.

Saturday's opponent, ASU (1-6, 0-5 RMAC) finished tied for fourth at the conference championships, 53.5 points behind Western. The Grizzlies had one individual champion at the RMAC Championships, Martin Ramirez at 133 pounds. Ramirez is ranked third at 133 pounds in Division II.

Western will also travel a few other wrestlers to the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open at the Colorado School of Mines on Saturday. Live results for that tournament can be found by
