GUNNISON, Colo. - Western State Colorado University wrestling begins the dual season this Thursday. The 17th ranked Mountaineer grapplers will travel to Pueblo, Colorado for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) dual against Colorado State University - Pueblo at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Western will return home for the 26th Annual Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday.
The Mountaineers will face the ThunderWolves in Massari Arena to open the RMAC dual season. Western is coming off a 10th place finish at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana on Dec. 19. Three Mountaineer wrestlers placed at the tournament.

Corbin Bennetts (Sr., Buena Vista, Colorado) is ranked seventh at 141 pounds. At 174 pounds,
Austin Harris (Sr., Windsor, Colorado) is also ranked seventh.
The ThunderWolves are receiving votes in the national poll as a team and have three wrestlers ranked in the top eight of their weight classes. JaCobi Jones at 157 pounds and Jacob Mitchell at 285 pounds are both ranked fourth. 165-pound Kyle Bateman is ranked seventh for CSU-Pueblo.

Following the RMAC opening dual, Western will return home to host the 26th Annual Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday. For the first time the Borah Duals will be held in the Mountaineer Field House, site of the NCAA Division II Super Region IV Championships on Feb. 26.
The 2016 Borah Duals will feature three mats and six teams. Air Force, Colorado Mesa University, CSU-Pueblo, Simon Fraser University, University of Central Oklahoma and Western will all be competing in the duals.
Western will begin the day with a dual against UCO at 10 a.m., followed by a dual at 11:30 a.m. against Air Force and a 2:30 p.m. dual against Simon Fraser.
