GUNNISON, Colo. – No. 16 Western State Colorado University wrestling made quick work of Colorado School of Mines on Friday night. The Mountaineers won 9-of-10 matches in their dual with the Orediggers.

Friday night's dual was highlighted by three consecutive falls by Western (6-3, 3-1 RMAC).
Ian Steen (So., Graham, Washington) started the trend with a 1:06 pin at 157 pounds against Ethan Ruby.
Travis Bradford (So., Houston, Texas) followed at 167 pounds with a 2:07 fall against Keenan Willits.
Austin Harris (Sr., Windsor, Colorado) earned his second fall of the week with a 4:48 fall against CSM's Rocky Michaelson.

Like the night before, Western got out to a 7-0 lead with a major decision by
Ronald Wardleigh (Jr., Plain City, Utah) at 125 pounds and a decision at 133 pounds by
Zane Rich (So., Syracuse, Utah).

The Mountaineers made it 13-0 with decisions by
Corbin Bennetts (Sr., Buena Vista, Colorado) at 141 pounds and
Tyler Adams (Sr., Rancho Santa Margarita, California) at 149 pounds.

After the three falls by Western, they dual was all but clinched as the Mountaineers led CSM (6-2, 0-2 RMAC) 31-0.

Brandon Supernaw (RFr., Colorado Springs, Colorado) made it 35-0 with a 14-3 major decision over Karl Breidenbach.

The Orediggers scored their only points of the dual with a 11-6 decision at 197 pounds, but
Lewis Arendall (Fr., Peoria, Arizona) added three more points for the Mountaineers to give Western a 38-3 win.

Western will return to the mat on Jan. 31 at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships held in the Olympic Training Center.
