GUNNISON, Colo. - The Mountaineers of Western State Colorado University are back on the road. After last weekend's Tracy Borah Duals at home, the Western grapplers travel to the University of Nebraska – Kearney (UNK) Midwest Duals. The Mountaineers will have three duals in Nebraska, including two against top-10 ranked opponents.
A total of 64 college (NCAA Division II, NAIA and JUCO), high school and youth teams, representing 13 different states, will compete on 16 mats at the Fairgrounds. Action begins at 8:00 a.m. (MT) and runs until the early evening hours. All duals will take place at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds Exposition Center.
No. 17 Western will face Northern State University, No. 8 California Baptist University and No. 3 UNK all on Saturday.
The Mountaineers (3-1, 1-0 RMAC) will begin with a dual against NSU at 8 a.m. (MT). The duals will continue for Western will a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup against No. 8 Cal Baptist at 9:30 a.m. (MT).
The duals will conclude for the Mountaineers with a meeting against the third ranked host school, Nebraska – Kearney at 12:30 p.m. (MT).
Cost of admission, per day, is $10.00 (adults) and $7.00 (seniors/youths). Kids 10 and under are free with senior pricing beginning at age 55.

Following the UNK Midwest Duals, Western will return home for two duals. The first of which is next Thursday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. against No. 20 Colorado Mesa University. The dual against the Mavericks will determine How the West was Won. Western will then host Colorado School of Mines on the following night at 7 p.m.

All Western State faculty and staff, as well as all students K-8th grade will receive free admission into the dual on Thursday night against CMU. The first 500 students will also receive free t-shirts for attending.
