Alexander went 4-0 to win the elite heavyweight title at the 37th Wyoming Cowboy Open last Saturday. He posted two falls, defeated two RMAC opponents and finished the day with a 3-1 decision against Wyoming's Matthew McLaughlin.

The Mountaineers continue tournament action this weekend with the Northern Colorado Open. Action Sunday begins at 9 a.m. at the Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion.
