Travis Bradley was born in Longview, Washington in 1978. Bradley moved to Colorado and attended Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado. Bradley excelled at basketball for the Pirates. On his way to breaking numerous school records, Bradley led his time to the 4A state finals and earned Rocky Mountain News 4A Player of the Year honors as a senior in 1996.

Bradley came to Western after being recruited at Alameda High School by Western's all-time winningest coach Bob Hofman. Bradley made an immediate impact showing versatility with his size and shooting ability.

Whenever the Mountaineers needed points, Bradley would provide. During his senior season, Bradley scored 600 points, the fifth most points scored in a season at Western. That year Bradley averaged 22.2 points per game and was named to the All-RMAC First Team and All-RMAC West Division First Team. After averaging 22.4 points per game as a junior, Bradley was named to the All-RMAC West Division First Team.

Bradley's outstanding career for the Mountaineers can be seen in the record book as he ranks sixth or better in 10 career statistical categories, ranks fifth or better in six single season records, and ranks in the top three of four single game records.

"As an assistant coach during those years, I saw team after team design defenses in an attempt to stop Travis," said current Western men's basketball assistant coach John McCarthy. "Travis Bradley was and still is the most prolific scorer in the history of Western State basketball. Scoring is a wonderful attribute in the game of basketball, but as a coach I came to appreciate the work ethic Travis brought into the gym every time he walked onto the floor."

Ending his career in 2001 with a degree in accounting and finance, Bradley became Western's all-time career scorer with 1,767 points; a record that still stands today. He also holds the career record for field goals made (600) and the record for career free throws made (394).

Deadly from the outside, Bradley ranks second all-time for career three-point percentage (.455), sixth for career three-pointers attempted (374) and fifth for career three-pointers made (170).

Bradley currently resides in Parker, Colorado with his wife and two children.
