Western Colorado University Athletics

Steve Fendry led the Western State College men's basketball team to a 25-5 season in 1992-93, his senior campaign. WSC qualified for its only NCAA Division II regional berth to date during that season. Fendry holds four school records and ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list. Following his playing career at Western, Fendry went on to coach girls' basketball at Mullen High. He guided the Mustangs to three straight state championships. Fendry earned his bachelor's degree in 2001.
