Mike Makings saw nothing but success at Western, as his squad won the RMAC championships in both 1975 and 76. A two-time RMAC All-Star quarterback, Mike really took off during his season season at Western, leading Western to a No. 3 National Ranking. An All-American candidate, Mike finished the season as the fourth leading scorer in the nation and ranked sixth in total offense. Mike ended the season with 14 passing scores and 16 rushing touchdowns. Mike had 1,617 passing yards and 513 rushing yards as a senior for a then-school record 2,130 yards of total offense.
