Jim Arcieri played for four seasons on the Mountaineer football team under head coach Bill Noxon, who was also Arcieri’s high school coach. During the 1971-74 football seasons, Arcieri led Western State in rushing three times from the fullback position. His 2,642 career rushing yards rank second on the Mountaineers’ all-time list behind the legendary Bill Rhodes. During his four years with the Mountaineers, the team compiled a 24-11-1 record with Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships in 1973 and 1974.
