Entering the Hall of Fame posthumously, Skip Pritchard continues to have an ongoing legacy with Mountaineer Athletics. He initiated that legacy as a transfer player to the football program, starting at center for Western’s 1973 and 1974 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship football teams. Pritchard joined the coaching staff originally as a student assistant and remained on the staff as a graduate-assistant through the 1978 season. He has the honored distinction of being part of an RMAC champion squad every season in which he was associated with the program. Pritchard would later go on to be the key catalyst for the establishment in 2014 of the Mountaineer Football Alumni Association that, to this day, remains a thriving and supportive entity.
