Elva Dryer earned a place among the NCAA Division II’s all-time best distance runners during her Western State career. Her list of national collegiate championships and honors includes being a member of the 1990 NAIA National Champion women’s cross country team, 16 NCAA Division II All-American awards, seven NCAA Division II individual national championships and the 1996 NCAA Division II Track and Field Athlete of the Year award. Dryer earned All-America status in five events, and has raced in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
