Dave Gorsuch

Dave Gorsuch had a long and successful career starting at the junior level and extending through college and into the international arena. Gorsuch was the youngest skier ever to participate in the the Junior Nationals. He won the 1953 U.S. Junior National slalom championship and competed in the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley, Calif. In 1963, Gorsuch started competing for Western State College and won the 1963 NCAA downhill championship, earned a silver medal in the slalom and finished second in the alpine combined. The next year, he led the Mountaineers to a second place team finish by placing second in slalom and finishing third in giant slalom.
