Western Colorado University Athletics

Bob Hollingshead wrestled for Western State under the legendary Tracy Borah from 1961-64. He was a member of both the 1963 and 1964 NCAA College Division National Champions. In 1962 and 1963, Hollingshead was the Outstanding Wrestler at the Rocky Mountain Conference Championships and won a pair of 130-pound titles at the RMC meet. In 1962, he led the Mountaineers to a share of the team title. He was a 1963 All-American as he finished second at the NCAA College Division Championships. In 1964, Hollingshead moved up to 137 pounds and won the individual national championship. WSC also claimed the team title, the Mountaineers' second in a row.
