The 1990 Women's Cross Country Team was the first women's team at WSC to ever win a national championship. They won the RMAC championships over defending national champion Adams State College en route to winning the NAIA national title. Five members of the team were All-Americans, highlighted by Elva Dryer, who now runs professionally for Nike and participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics. This team is one of four national championships that have been won by cross country teams coached by Duane Vandenbusche.
